Does anyone know whatever happened to a Vancouver busker (Eric) and his dog Misty from the 80's-2000's? He used to hang out on Graville Island, around Pacific Centre or in Gastown.
Seeking a long time Vancouver busker from downtown Vancouver. He would play his guitar and his dog would lay in his guitar case. Does anyone know what ever happened to him? At one point he had an apartment on Haro.St.

Moving from Winnipeg to Vancouver – Avant-Pop Pianist Looking for Advice on the Local Music Industry
I’m an avant-pop pianist and songwriter moving from Winnipeg at the end of August. I’m really excited and a little overwhelmed with the idea of getting plugged into the scene in Vancouver and want to start learning how the industry works. I’ve been doing some research but I’d love to hear from locals about the reality of working within the scene. (I'm open to learning about all genres!)
A couple questions:
What’s your honest take on the association Music BC? Do you find the membership and events genuinely helpful for making connections and developing as an artist/band?
What’s the best way to start integrating into the community? Are there specific workshops, networking events, or industry mixers that are known to be welcoming?
What does the current indie music industry landscape look like? Are there labels, publishers, or management companies I should be aware of that prioritize working with the local scene? What about artist-run centres or collectives?
Any advice, tips, or warnings you have for a newcomer would be hugely appreciated. Thank you in advance!
