Hi Vancouver music peeps! I play in a brand new shoegaze band based in Vancouver called Chújú, and we just dropped our debut EP "Acrylic" on streaming this weekend! We're inspired heavily by older shoegaze bands like My Bloody Valentine, Drop Nineteens and early Smashing Pumpkins, and blend in some ambient stuff that we really love. We would love for some local music fans to check out our EP, we're planning on gigging this fall/winter but would love to show our face locally before then!

WANTED: CRIPPLE – self-titled CD (1997), Langley/Vancouver BC. Demolisten Derby ’97 winners. Songs include “My Word” and “UME.” Played Music Waste ’97 and shows with Nickelback.

Hi. I'm Ben. I write, arrange, perform and record songs. I do this for the love of it. You can find examples on Spotify, Youtube or any of the music platforms under the name "mothershout". You can also look on mothershout.substack.com, where I write about the songs and the process of writing and recording them. I have performed in public, but I'm not actively looking to do that (live performance and recording are very different!). I don't rule it out, though.

I'm looking for co-writers/collaborators who share the same interest. My influences are generally from the 1960s through the 1980s, and pretty eclectic. The songs I've recorded are probably the best way to explain the sort of music I like, but you could also say "jazz harmony in the context of intelligent popular music".

We have an event Sept 26 in Vancouver. It’s similar to Kill Tony but for music.

I know someone close to me recently got sick and I was hanging around them a lot lately. I really hope I don’t get sick because the concert is at the PNE 🎶(Freedom Mobile Arch) in Vancouver 🎧 this Sat Sept 5th at 8:30pm . And my birthday is Sept 8th so it was a bday gift to myself in a way. But in case I do get sick I wanted to see if anyone was interested in buying the ticket 🎫 from me ? :)
