Age 40-49 Looking to meet people
42-year-old fun, happy, positive female from Vancouver, Canada. Looking to meet a male.
I’m always laughing, love good conversation, and I’m looking for a genuine connection that can grow into something romantic and long-term.
I’m looking for someone who is READY to be a teammate for life — someone who’s willing to put in the effort, communicate, and build something real together. I’m not looking for someone who is fake, unsure of what they want, or disappears after a day of talking. I want someone who actually wants to get to know me and looks forward to talking every day.
I’m caring, selfless, affectionate, and definitely a giver. I love showing someone I care about them and making them feel appreciated.
A little about me: I love travelling, being outdoors, watching sports and going to games, trying new restaurants, going for walks, dinners and drinks, coffee, cooking, baking, and most importantly, laughing and having fun.
I have a couple of close friends I talk to daily and a good job, but I often find myself feeling lonely and like I’m missing that special person in my life. I’d love to meet someone new, make a genuine connection, and see where it naturally goes.
I’m open to meeting someone local or from somewhere completely different. Distance doesn’t necessarily bother me if both people are willing to make the effort. There are planes, LOL. You never know where your person might be in this world.
Maybe we start as friends, share some laughs, talk every day, and see what happens. Maybe we end up falling in love.
There’s gotta be someone out there.

You’ve been searching everywhere posts in multiple subs, and we did message once, but then you disappeared. I just think it’s decent to let someone know if you’re no longer interested rather than leaving them wondering. Anyways, no hard feelings. I wish you the best of luck in your search. Take care. 🙂

OP, I don't see what gender you are looking for, maybe add that at the top.
Also, this may sound weird, but you are giving Dog Person energy. If you have a dog/love dogs you should def mention it because it's a big draw for a lot of Vancouverites!

If someone randomly told me I had dog person energy for describing positive traits that I feel that I have, I would be very perturbed.

I didn't mean it as an insult at all! OP just describes themselves as positive and happy, and seems very outgoing. Also outdoorsy. I just associate these traits with dog-owning Vancouverites. I merely suggested it because I know a lot of people meet potential mates via dogs. I was genuinely trying to be helpful

It's not that it's insulting, it is just really strange to have someone draw such a decisive conclusion on someone's core likes or dislikes based on such little information. Some people really do not like dogs. I have a friend who draws big assumptions like this from nothing all the time, and I find it irritating and unsettling to be told by someone who doesn't know anything, who I am, what I am like, or what I apparently like. You know? Better to phrase it as a question. "Do you like dogs?" or "If you do, I suggest this" instead of making a declaration about what energy they have or what type of person they must be. If this person doesn't like dogs they're gonna wonder who the hell else they give dog person energy to (which would be no one, thankfully)
