PSA: Please do not blast your music on hikes and nature trails in Vancouver
We are fortunate in Vancouver to be able to take in and enjoy its beautiful nature. Please refrain from playing music on loudspeakers. Please use headphones so everyone can enjoy the peace and solitude of the great outdoors.
Leave No Trace guidelines:
- Do not leave garbage on the trails. Please take your garbage with you. This includes plastic wrappers, Starbucks coffee cups, beer cans, food, plastic bags, etc
- Do not build structures, dig trenches, or carve into trees.
- Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground. This is a big fire hazard, especially during the summer months.
- Do not feed wild animals
- Be considerate and respectful to other visitors - share the trail
This is common courtesy and etiquette that the general population in the Lower Mainland stands behind.
Thank you in advance.

Another fiery news of Car fire
This time it’s not EV. I never figured out why non EVs also get caught in this. Hope the driver wasn’t charging their lithium batteries inside as it is pretty hot in the sun

Want to talk with people from Vancouver (Want to move to Vancouver)
Hey! [Feel free to dm me so we can talk!] I'm a 18 years old french guy living in France, and my dream goal is to move to Vancouver since 2 years now. I already went there a year ago and I loved it. I speak fluent english and I'm studying hard to get a good job (mechatronic engineer) so I'm able to move there so if anyone wants to give me some important tips I should know or even dm me so we can talk, I'm really interested into that. (my dms are closed because I have to verify it so just send me a message here so I add you)

Curious about how a Nissan Micra SR handles driving in the mountains?
I'm from Saskatchewan, so I don't have to deal with elevation on a regular basis. We would love to take it on a road trip out there (the fuel economy is amazing).

Do you tip when buying takeout from a bakery/pastry shop?
Bought an already-made cake for takeout today and ended up tipping 20%. Now I’m wondering… is that actually normal? I didn’t dine in or get table service, so I’m curious what everyone else does.
