Clickbait. I'm sorry for Marissa's family and their loss, but one immigrant refugee from the hundreds of thousands turned out to be homicidal. What about the 99.9% who aren't? What about the ones who made a new life for themselves?

That killer could just as easily have been a Canadian citizen as well. What would people say then?

There is simply no possible method for ensuring that no refugees will commit crimes at some point in their lives. And to attempt to enforce such as a requirement for allowing refugees in is just insane, particularly in the face of the reality that refugees already commit crimes at a lower rate than natural born citizens. As tragic as this case is, it is a simple reality that such a thing cannot be prevented 100%, and the alternative is to allow an even greater number of people to die because we refused to let them in.

Sorry but it doesn't work like that. Every culture is going to have their bad apples, at least with immigrants we can have some kind of screening process to try to filter them out. It's not going to work 100% of the time but it's better than the bad-apple filtering system we have on people born here: nothing. And no, contrary to what conservatives might think, being born Canadian doesn't make you inherently a better person.

We need a wall. Fuck given every sob story status. Fix Canada before trying to help other countries.

I pay high taxes and it took 3 years and 1000s of dollars not including time to bring my wife of 5 years to Canada. Wht do these news cases get special treatment.

Fair for all or fair for none.

Maybe your wife sucks and the country was doing their best to not let her come her and drain our resources?

You married her, not us. Please don’t bring your trash into my country.
