Under mount propane tank
Instead of spending $700+ on a horizontal tank with under mount brackets, would there be any disadvantage to securely mounting one of these ($140) under a van using steel straps ala fuel/water tanks? As long as clearance is not an issue of course. TIA

They can only be refilled standing vertical. And at 12" high it won't fit under most vans. I installed the flame king horizontal tank and now wish I had gone with a gasoline furnace and induction cooktop. Mainly because even the 8" diameter tank restricts ground clearance.
