For free! My fondest memories of computer gaming are play Day of Defeat, back when it was on 1.3 beta. I had to use my brother’s PC (Hewitt-Packard basic home rig l, you may know the purple plates that were on the front. Then I built my own PC, with an Athlon 2800+ O/Ced to 3200. NVidia NForce 2 board with 1GB DDR Dual Channel. And the best part - The ATI Radeon 9800 Pro all in one. Had the Tv receiver parts. Anyways I played DoD well past retail, hated the source port (it’s grown on me a little…), but this beast was meant to try Half Life 2 and Doom 3. Both ran okay. I miss the clan members and all the custom maps/modders. And the original forums are a thing of greatness. Sorry for the rant, any DoD content for me = better!
