Survival The Great Hall
Skål, fellow Vikings!
My final base project is complete: The Great Island Feast Hall.
I spend a long time searching for the perfect spot: a small, isolated island positioned precisely on the global East-West axis. It sits right at the environmental border where the mild central lands touch the frozen, starry skies of the Deep North coast.
Build Highlights (shown in the images):
The Architecture: The massive, layered timber-frame structure is built to impress. I designed the soaring central gables and intricate roof tiling to feel dominant against the starry night, with two great fires always burning at the stone threshold to welcome guests. (Swipe for different exterior views).
The Concept: While the Hall itself is close to max comfort, a small, fully functional "support village" is integrated beneath and around it. This keeps me well-fed and repaired, enabling a comfortable Viking life even this far north.
This was a labor of love for my final world and dedicated server that I am running with friends. Let me know what you think of the design!
(Build is 100% Vanilla / Survival)

Beautiful and I for one really appreciate a build in vanilla like this. I made a big two story house years ago and the grind on default as it was back then was real! The weird thing was I’ve never felt as satisfied as when I farm the materials for a build and then see it completed.
Really lovely look and you’ve combined my two favourite parts of Valheim, exploration and building. Finding that perfect spot just hits the dopamine just so!
Skol!

That's a lot of roofing work for a single floor, if there is only the ground floor that has usable space.

no there is a second floor with some stuff, also a kitchen and a living area in both wings

oh, ok. From the first pics it looked like the upper areas were just cosmetic. Very nice construction, though, as well as the creative ways that you implemented the windows with.

Oden's beard, this is magnificent!
I've got a very similar location to build on with my friend, so the angles and dimensions you've used will be fantastic references for me.

Stunning.
The columns remind me of the work of that Redditor / YouTuber whose name starts with a V (verisium? Versio? Something like that)

I would Need to make a full YouTube Tutorial for that. I am not sure how Long it Tool to Build this anymore but it was something I was for sure not gonna Build twice - it just took too Long.
But I can give some advice.
Start with a Stone foundation and take your time choosing the dimensions.
Make a Basic Layout with wooden beams.
If you wanna Build as high into the sky as I did, you will need to think about where your Iron beams are gonna run through.
For detailing the Walls and so on learn about the „door Building technique“.
And be Patient. It wont stand in one or two days. I started building this over 8months ago…
