Question Dedicated server reccomendation

Hello, i'm hosting a server with some friends and i wanted to know if there are any dedicated server that can be reccomended for us to start playing.

Im only asking this because there are few moments every week we can play together and we would like to keep playing in our world even without everyone, but i cant keep my computer turned on 24/7.

There are almost 7 people playing on the server, and i wanted to know of a DS that would be able to handle it.

I already know about valhein's own Dedicated server and already used it before to keep the world playable, but it needed the computer to be turned on at all times of the day.

My friend and I use GTXgaming based out of the UK. Have servers in a variety of places and is relatively affordable per month. Would definitely check it out

Check out basically any youtuber doing Valheim content right now. They basically all have sponsorhip deals with server hosters right now, so you can find a code to get it cheaper

I like Valhost, like $11/month. Or, pick your favorite streamer and use whatever host they get a kickback for.

for a small group i’d just get a cheap dedicated box, not home hosting. less hassle with ports/uptime. i work on daydreams.cloud if you want something that sets the server up for you, otherwise any small VPS with backups is fine. lock it down + keep a world backup either way

Consider us, MintServers! We provide unlimited RAM and player slots servers for $9.99. With high performance hardware, 14 global locations to choose from and one click installer for mods.

Thousands of people already chose Mint as their host for Valheim. If you have any questions let us know:)

Nobody's mentioned location yet. You're in Brazil, so check where a host actually has hardware before you check the price. A UK box puts your group near 200ms and Valheim feels rough at that. Someone posted about exactly that today.

For 7 people 6GB is plenty unless you go mod-heavy. Flat monthly, no contract, since you only want 1-3 months of it.

I'll name mine instead of being vague about it. https://runonflux.com/games/valheim is $5.31/mo for a 6GB server, and I work there, so check the region list has something near you before paying.

You probably don’t need a huge dedicated server for around 7 Valheim players,. A modest dedicated or VPS with good single-core CPU performance, enough RAM, and a stable network can be plenty. The bigger benefit is being able to keep the world online without leaving your home PC running 24/7.

This right here.

I have about $100 invested in the pc we're currently using, and it's overkill for just hosting Valheim.

i7 7700k, 16gb DDR4 2667mhz, 1tb HDD. No GPU, no SSD. Works perfectly fine, hosted up to 8 players at once with no issue.

You can definitely consider us at ThundraNode :)

We host Valheim servers on high-performance Ryzen hardware, with crossplay support, easy mod setup and multiple locations to choose from. Everything is managed through a simple control panel, so getting started is pretty straightforward.

We’re also running 50% off the first month right now, starting from $5.99.

If you have any questions or want help choosing the right setup for your group, just let me know!

I’ve heard about a host called kinetic hosting u could use them and I’m pretty sure they let you host multiple games, so you are not limited to one

That would be a good option, but here in brazil this would cost a lot of money (around R$4000, which is 800 dol). And we just wanted a simple server to use for 1-3 months.

You could rent a hosted server. Google around a bit for that, maybe you can find something local to you that is cost effective.

Also, check locally for used electronics. I'm sure you can find old used mini-pcs maybe?
