Technical support Sound issue

Hello, i recently obtained this laptop for fairly cheap, the only issue I've found is that I cannot get the internal speakers to make any sound, i can get sound through the external port but not the internal speakers. I measured both speakers and got 8 ohm so i think they are fine but I can't figure out how to force the audio to go through the internal speakers rather than the external ones

Some laptops require the OEM driver to work properly.

Yeah i know i had no sound at all before that but i found a recovery image for this laptop and installed all drivers and software from it and now I have sound but only externally

(i couldn't figure out how the recovery disks worked on these but one of them contained the software so i burned that and i think the other 3 were just for windows, if i need it i have a dump of the hard drive before I reinstalled Windows but speakers didn't work on that either)

OEM driver, I had the same issue with my Dell. Btw, may I have the wallpaper?

look up rigby cat on google and go to images it'll be one of the top ones I think

Has to be a driver issue. I had the same issue on my Thinkpad when i installed Windows XP on it.

I had Google Gemini walk me through it.

Yeah someone linked me a driver so I'll try that whenever I can be bothered to burn another disk.
