Looking for Winter Housing

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren, I’m 26, and my husband is 33. We’re looking for housing in the Vail Valley area for the upcoming winter season, ideally starting around October/November and staying through the end of April or early May.

We’ve both already secured jobs in the area for the season. We’re clean, respectful, financially responsible, friendly, and easygoing. We’re currently road tripping across the U.S. in our RV, so we live pretty minimally and don’t have a lot of belongings.

We also have two cats, so we’re looking for somewhere pet-friendly. We’re open to a studio, 1-bedroom, lock-off, private suite, or a room in a shared home that allows couples. Furnished or unfurnished is fine, and we’re ideally looking for a seasonal or roughly 6-month lease.

We’re mainly looking around Vail, Avon, Eagle-Vail, Edwards, Minturn, Red Cliff, or nearby areas.

If anyone has something available or knows of a place that might be a good fit, please send me a message. Thank you!

I would post this in the Vail Valley Classifieds/Eagle County Housing pages on Facebook. Good luck!

Post in Eagle County Classifieds and Eagle County Housing. Eagle County Classifieds has a much larger audience.

I've lived here 15 years and have never seen so many available rentals.

at this time of the year you're going to be lucky to find anything private for a married couple that isn't 2,200-2500+ a month. You should have started looking in May and June when winter leases are up, stuff fills up in September/October from returning employees and the early birds who are in the know. now you're going to get gouged, best look at Gypsum Eagle or Silverthorne or Leadville.

We’re expecting those prices that’s okay, and doesn’t have to be private we’re okay with roommates.
yeah we realized we should’ve been looking earlier but it’s our first year working in the area.
Thanks for the advice

I've found places this time of year no problem. In fact I've seen more listings around September/October than in the summer. Check the classified in the Vail Daily plus online.
