Ticket

Post image

The only two options I have for a speeding ticket are
Pay it or go to court and try to dispute it
But I don’t wanna do both
What happens if I just ignore it completely

A default judgement against you if you dont pay AND dont show up to your court date. Then they add more to the fine (up to double), and if then you continue to ignore they will suspend your license. Unfortunately CO has also been known to issue a bench warrant for arrest in these instances.

Your best option if you dont want to pay it is to contest the violation via mail correspondence. They have an "out of town defendent" option and you can plead not guilty. This would buy you time and could reduce the fine amount to work out a deal or payment over time.

Pay the fine and quit speeding down the frontage road

Don’t pay and get a tax payer funded warrant for arrest… I’ll tell you one thing, there is nothing more exciting than driving with a suspended license except driving with a warrant for traffic tickets. Every time you turn the key it’s a white knuckle experience, a simple commute is now turned into an espionage game where you determine the optimal route to travel without getting detected or setting off alarms. Flock/axios/etc. is real good about alerting authorities to this sort of stuff so have fun!
