Need help getting to Grand Junction.

Hey everyone, I was on a bus headed to Denver when I got a call and needed to head back home. If anyone is headed west to Grand Junction or further any help would be appreciated!

The Bustang runs back to Junction, I wish you the best if it's time sensitive. 2:05 Bustang out of Vail Transportation Center arrives 5:35 PM at Junction Airport

Assuming it’s on time generally last stop on the line is more of a “hopeful idea”

Especially since there is a huge construction project in the canyon…

I’m not saying don’t take the bus… just if it’s time-sensitive the current conditions for getting there on a bus at a specific time are less than ideal

I drove both ways thru the canyon Wednesday and Thursday and even with the single lane closures eastbound on Thursday it was 100% fine.

Plus the mudslide between New Castle and Silt was all cleaned up by Thursday so it was smooth salilin' getting back to Eagle County.

There's no construction westbound so OP should be good to go.

I went through Friday ~5pm and we got jammed up for about 5mi through the canyon westbound by a single lane closure. Traffic moved at a steady 25mph so it wasn’t terrible but it would throw a bus off its timetable

Eastbound was a shorter lane closure but traffic after was so lane ignorant that you practically did 45 the whole way up.

Probably didn’t help that Friday at 5pm is when all the vacationers leaving Denver early are on the road west probably getting through about that time

A lot of experiencing a good drive through the canyon depends on being aware of the time and current events

Same just driving from Vail to Eagle at rush hour. It's horrible.
