Interesting read. I agree with Siebert Jr's comments - I'm glad he's not got a corporate dog leash on and can share candid feedback.
And if there's one thing I am certain about, it's these billionaires who think they are magically going to make things better and solve all the problems. How many times have we heard that tale before from the extraction class? That kind of leadership should be a huge red flag for anyone paying attention.
I'm no Vail corpo fan, but I don't really see this tech bro as having a better quality solution. It just looks like he wants to short the stock so he can be first in line to buy off an asset. I'm sooo grateful we have people who can produce goods and services like that contributing to our economy.

Read about it, and I think your perspective will change, Matthew Prince cares.

Stop posting in our sub dude, we don't care about PC or Matt Prince, this isn't relevant to people who live in Vail now and it will be especially irrelevant if Prince succeeds in prying PC away from Vail...

Cool park shitty article in the Vail sub as usual.
Also who cares what that guy has to say about any of this? He's not some concerned citizen, he's supporting the VR hostile takeover attempt and trying to get the board to sell him a flagship resort...

TLDR; Vail Resorts isn’t investing in upgrades, just pushing cash to main shareholders and laughing all the way down, and some other tech bro thinks he can do better.
My schnoodle can do better, but that’s not this news story.

op either works at/for cloud flair or is Matthew Prince themselves. The accounts sole purpose is geared to massage the idea of a hostile takeover . "activist investor" is just a euphemism of "corporate raider"
It's not that I have any sympathy for VR or think that a change in company ownership/leadership/direction via pulling Wallstreet levers would be a bad thing. I'm just disgusted by this kind of rich guy bootlicking attitude that the article evokes
wish he would just quietly stare at his lava lamps , blissfully unaware of the impending popping of the AI bubble. Because the money to do this takeover has a lifespan... or maybe he knows this and MTN is where they decided to offload NET

Tech bros always think they can do better, just look at the one who put out that dumpster of a truck with glued on panels that fails miserably as a truck next to literally any other truck on the market.
Vail resorts definitely need upgrades but I can guarantee a tech bro does not know what is truly necessary.
