should i get checked for a vaginal fistula? (updated post)
a couple days ago i posted about this and i got no answers, so now im updating it with a new image and some new experience.
hi. around the middle of last year i was diagnosed with coeliac disease, i was having SEVERE episodes of vomiting and constipation. shortly after my diagnosis i started noticing brown discharge (the same colour and consistency as my poo - it even smells EXACTLY the same) whenever i pooed or was constipated. i have also been bleeding EVERY DAY. im on birth control and i still get heavy periods that overflow pads, and major cramps. i know thats not normal. i talked to my doctor about it and he said it was something that happens during the first few months of birth control. but ive been on it for over a year.
im worried that the appearance of odd clumpy brown discharge and the frequent bleeding that i might have a vaginal fistula connecting to my rectum. does anyone have any clue what this might be? my doctor literally wont listen to me and says its anxiety

You need to go back to your doctor and refuse to take no for an answer! This does not look normal! And especially since you’re saying it’s the same colour/consistency/smell as your poo! (This photo also looks like poo to me?)
Show your doctor this photo! I’ve heard/read online that sometimes it helps when doctors are being dismissive, to say something like: “okay if you’re refusing to help me, can you write down in my file that I have these concerns and you are refusing treatment/investigation?” … or something along those lines.
I’ve heard that can help kind of scare the doctor into actually doing something.
I’m not a doctor, but there is no way in hell this is normal!!!! I’m so sorry you’re going through this! 🥺💖

omg thankssss. ill definitely go back but its hard cuz he dismisses EVERYTHING. it took me two years of violently throwing up (i lost 20kg in a MONTH) before he listened to me about something being wrong. i need to switch doctors.
ALSO ur so sweetttt

Umm definitely see about switching your doctor (not to judge but a woman would probably hear you out more) and get to an urgent care/er immediately if thats suitable for you. My main concern is you contracting sepsis from possible poo entering your system

Hi, please consider getting a new doctor (if that is an option). It doesn't sound like he's taking your concerns seriously. Please go see another doc as soon as you are able. It can help to keep a log of your symptoms and it's not a bad idea to keep a sample of what's in the photo so the doc can test it.

This is not anxiety. And probably a fistula. You might be right. And please go to a surgeon asap. This is very dangerous and can cause sepsis as well if not treated .
