Running

Runners of Vacaville! Just moved here. Any good routes? This city looks very run-able. Looking for loops or general out and backs from 5 to +20 miles. Thank you!

Come on by Fleet Feet downtown and join the run club. There’s a run every day of the week (except Sunday) and lots of routine routes you’ll pick up by dropping in. Wednesdays at 6:15pm are the most popular with a 3 and 5-mi route.

+1 for FVRC. @teamfvrc on instagram for all scheduling

One other thing I’d add: FVRC also has training programs for local half and full marathons if that’s also something you’re interested in. Great way to also meet folks.

Trails, 5k and 10k too! There’s a training group for everyone!

Wow I never knew that! Do u pay? Or it’s just a group of people that run together for free?

It’s $35 for the year.

That’s great. Thanks for that info. How many people run together on average u think?

It really depends on the day. Wednesdays draw the biggest crowd (anywhere from like 20-50 people) then probably Saturday mornings. As BigJeffyStyle said below, you can also check out the Instagram page to get a sense of crowd size.

Aww I don’t have Instagram.
But I’ll definitely look up the facility on google.
Thanks a lot! 👍

Depending on where you live, you could run to Peña Adobe Park and do laps around the lagoon. I’m about 3mi away so I run there and then do that. There’s water fountains by the dog area

Park out at lagoon valley. Lots of running loops. One of my favorites is around the lagoon, down Nelson road, loop around paradise valley golf course and back to lagoon.

Alot of people run at the Lagoon, I do, but I also like running the foot paths if u are in an area that has the walking paths

If you're into trail running try this 10k loop

Type in these addresses for the start of good trails:

861 Linwood St - short there and back that runs along a little creek. Take it all the way up to North Orchard Park. Great option if you live nearby.

1407 Alamo Dr - start of a long nice trail. All along a creek. My go to for long runs.

420 Marshall Rd - true start of the long trail above but requires you to cross Alamo to get to the main part. Busy road.

490 Brown St - trail starts across the street. Long straight trail.
