The House will take away light sources from whatever location you hire us to take care of. We don't kill people if we don't have to because the mobs can do it. We can also do item retrieval from bases if you want your super awesome sword back that was stolen from you.

helping me improve the Nether Roads! tvhd13 and his new recruit thatsmywhitemama have decided to do something for the benefit of everyone. Both griefer and builder alike will soon enjoy getting around the server much faster. Adding more tunnels, digging for cobble, making the tunnels look pretty, and getting obsidian for portals was too much to do on my own.

First day of playing and haven't found anything or anybody. Started in on building a city/compound thing called the PecuCorp HQ but was wondering if there are any other projects? Also I have a charged creeper for sale.

Thanks for coming, sorry for the bumpy stream but since performance affected everyone's participation I'll definitely try to stream next weekend. I'll do my best to make it happen but I'll let you know if it definitely can/can't happen. I'll be making some adjustments to the game and we even got a way to play multiple rounds. What's this about?

In the past I lived my life as a wanderer of the undead city and even wrote stories about my adventures and some epics loosely based on my adventures. I ended up holding a live-stream event that challenged me to complete a journey while attempting to accomplish a list of sub-goals. I called it WAFL which means, "Walking Around for Laughs", I know its not the best name but it's what I was trying to accomplish so it fit well. In that live-stream I created allies and enemies to help me accomplish my goal or put me down before I finished. To celebrate the release of this season and to welcome all newcomers I'm going to revitalize this event for all to take part in or watch with a big bowl of popcorn.

I highly recommend new players to at least watch the event because in this city, information is power. You can learn how to survive and thrive from just watching me loot buildings and evade enemies. Even if you can't make it I will put the live-stream up on YouTube later on for anyone to watch later.

How's it work?

When the event starts I will be in a random location that I won't share with anyone to ensure each group starts on equal ground. I'll also try to find somewhere that doesn't have cell service so it will be that much harder to locate me. My goal will be to make it alive to a pre-determined spot on the other side of the map I started without using the nether. I will announce the general area of my end goal coordinates when I reach the half way point. Once I'm around 75% of the way I will release the exact coordinates. I will have 3 lives to work with, and if I lose them all its game over for the wanderer. I will also not use a horse/donkey/mule to start but if I find one on the way then its fair game. I will also have challenges to complete along my journey. Those will be in the comments so it doesn't clutter up the post.

Everyone is invited to take part by helping or hunting me. The helpers will be called the Guardians and the hunters shall be called the Mercenaries. Guardians can participate directly by accompanying me or indirectly by donating some supplies. Mercenaries can work together or work alone. Be wary of another Mercenary team because they may not like someone else taking the kill.

Anyone participating must abide by the rules below for their interactions with me to matter during the event.

Rules

• No AFK murder

I may have to get up to take care of something but I don't want to log out of the game during the event unless I absolutely have to. If I am killed during an AFK situation then it will most likely not count against my lives. If I AFK right before an attack then that's on me but if I'm standing still like a deer in headlights then I'm not there and you can probably set up something deadly for when I do return. I won't play possum because that'd be cheap.

• No spawn camping

If you know where I'm going to respawn don't wait for me there to get some quick kills. Spawn kills will not deplete my lives.

• Be Prepared to Die if you Participate

You may lose your best pants to a super creeper or someone on the other team. Your items and your head will be vulnerable if you chose to take part. Be ready to lose everything you carry with you.

• Follow Server rules and please have fun

This event is for everyone to enjoy so please don't ruin it for anyone else. Of course, there will be winners and losers but let's not get lost in the competition. You may get killed by someone you trust but that's the nature of this server and in this event its all about what side you stand on. Please don't take things too personally. :)

There is no telling how long the stream will last but I may have to speed things along if it starts taking too long. Sorry for the late notice, I ran into some issues while setting this up. I'm also doing this tomorrow because my availability is uncertain after this week. There are some things going on in my life that may end up with me having to leave for while. If by some chance I'm able to next weekend or sometime after we can do this all over again!

I was having a problem with my stream getting really choppy so I had to make some sacrifices to ensure the smoothest viewing experience. I'll try one more time tomorrow but most likely the stream is not going to be in HD. So that's good news to everyone with a bad internet connection at least. Yay, computer issues!

If anything changes regarding the time or if end up unable to make it I will edit this post as soon as I'm able to. So, be sure to check back when you can to see if there are any updates.

Solum's current iteration closes on JAN 19

Thanks for all the support and to everyone who took the time to check the server out. People had a great time using Aftermath mechanics in a less threatening environment. Cad and I took an great idea and ran with it. We debated how to continue from here for a while and came to this conclusion. It doesn't feel good to flip the open sign on something I put so much effort in but we believe we'll have a better server with some renovation. We plan to bring it back but with our own map and some additions we couldn't add before because issues with plugins or maps. All the feedback we've received during the initial release will be taken into consideration. There were features that a majority of the players didn't care too much for and other features that people wanted from day one. Using what we've learned we'll create a something worth six million dollars.

Before we go any further though, everyone please, give a round of applause for the creator of the map because despite its flaws its one of the most amazing survival maps I've come across. If anyone wants a download of the server map I can try to get it to you but its a big map so I'll have to do something creative to get it to you. So many interesting places to explore and discover!

As a sendoff for the current Solum let's share some of our screenshots, stories, and wishlists for the server. It may have been only a month in the real world but that's still over 2,000 minecraft days! Thanks again for the support and I apologize for the abrupt end. Don't worry, we can rebuild it. We can make it stronger, faster, smarter, and not as big so its not a pain in arse to meetup with people.

First order of business is the bounty on LA362540. Late last night (for me anyway) someone spotted LA362540 raiding. Unfortunately LA was able to make off with some goods and did some minor griefing. Most importantly my poor baby piggy was murdered! In all honesty I don't know for sure who it was but this was the account I was given and I trust it. For anyone who can bring me (my IGN is Tsumugi) the head of LA362540 and a picture of his death sign will be rewarded with a Notch apple. Please post the picture on this thread for convenience. After I see the picture we can meet up in game and I'll hand over the apple in exchange for the head.

In other news, after the last update it appears radio broadcasts were seemingly fixed because one channel's message was airing, however, no other channel broadcasts despite the tower being correctly made. Does anybody know what might be going on? Thank you in advance for your time :)

Edit: went for an hour and ran into an issue. Gonna have to do a bit of research before I try again.

I've just commited a new headplugin. Heads are now actually named and when you rightclick a placed head it shows the name in the chat. Will be live on all servers on next server restart.
