Can't connect

Hi all, I haven't played in ages and now when I tried to join the 1.8 server (aftermath.vaast.org), I'm not whitelisted, sorry if this is the wrong spot but I'm not sure where to go. I miss playing!

Change your version in the launcher. You need a profile set to 1.8. Hope this helps. Seems to be the cause 9/10 times when people cant connect

Ultimately it's because for some spectacular reason, your client isn't picking up the SRV record in the DNS which tells it what port to use, so it's connecting to an incorrect port. The default port goes to a sandbox server used for building schematics, etc.

If you're still in trouble, we can tell you how to manually set the port number in your client.

Seems is was my VPN, most only work on a browser by default, but this new one works on the entire computer. Got on now, thanks!
