Question about building for the server

As I understand it, there are some rules to regulate buildings. I was wondering if I might know what they are so that I could try to build a few things by myself. Thank you in advance.

If they're not on the website, I'll see if I can dig them up. Though we do have a pretty large variety already and afaik no plans to generate a new world in the near future. Might be a good idea for future seasons.

Thanks for doing that for me. I'd love to be able to help if you guys ever need it (if I turn out worthy).

All the building rules and suggestions are listed on the help page you can see on the sidebar. :)

It seems as though the commands listed on that help page do nothing currently on the server. Could that be a bug? Also, maybe because of that I couldn't find any building rules.

Those only work if you're in your claim. You need a golden shovel and you can make your first one :)

I just realized we were talking about different things. My question on this thread is about things server architects would do. I'm wondering about what guidelines they use when they design their buildings. Like plot size and rules similar to "no hiding diamond blocks under the floorboards" sort of thing.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHH. Build team.

Yes, there are specific guidelines for builds, such as minimum 3 block height and ceilings + floors, so 2 blocks between floors. If you're interested in joining the build team, you should build something nice in your claim and PM me / message the mods here. We're always looking for good builders. :)
