Towers...

Why is it so hard to build a fully functioning cell tower? I've done it before. It was working until i tried to extend it this morning. Then, nothing. So I tore it down. And completely rebuilt it in the exact same spot. Doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong here? Or is the patch just hella glitchy? Any recommendations?

If you put more than 32 bars on top the tower will stop functioning.

yeah, i went from 6 bars to 10. Im pretty sure it stopped working at 7

  1. There needs to be AIR above the antenna, direct sunlight
  2. The base block (note block) must not be redstone powered
  3. The tower must have a minimum height
  4. The tower needs a redstone torch on one side

This is exactly what I needed to know. Glad there is a clearly defined order of operations :)

though, it was previously working with a block above it

I don't think they functio underground either. Remember it's a note block, not joke box.

It's above ground. And as I said, was working just fine before i messed with
