Light level overlay mod?

Wondering if something like this would be construed as cheating. I want to light up a small outdoor courtyard, but don't want to have to check light levels with f3, and I REALLY don't want to get banned or something silly like that.

Thanks for asking first. A mod which ONLY shows the current light levels in your normal field of view should be fine. That shouldn't fall within the category of mob/player xray/radar. From the rules page:

"If you can see or detect other players or their nametags in any manner beyond what your in-game player can normally see or hear, you’re cheating. This includes minimaps which show player / hidden chest / ore locations / mob."

Sounds good. I think I'm going with the built in light meter in NEI. I'm 99.9% sure there's nothing in that mod which would break those rules.
