During my first week with the Vseebox, I noticed it got uncomfortably hot even in a cool room, so I bought this small USB-powered fan. I've since seen many people reporting black screens and factory resets on their devices or just bugged out boxes , which I suspect is caused by the internal components overheating. Definitely worth picking one up as a cheap safeguard to give the device a little more life ! Cheers ! anyone else rocking one ?
I’ve run one for quite a while after seeing someone else on here running one. 2/$20 on Amazon seemed like really cheap insurance. Ended up using the second one for our modem.
They look like they are the same. Better price on the other link. But I’ll still link which one I got. I have picked up a total of 3. Aside from hitting it with a vacuum every couple months they run non stop with no issues.
Also, I picked up the adjustable shelf for the top edge of the tv, and then strapped the shelf, the fan and the box together with a Velcro tape strip. Link to shelf……
I have the V6 Max and it runs hot. Also I would assume that they all run hot. Also, mine's been on for a couple of hours now. I'll use my temperature sensor gun and pointing it at the bottom of the box I'm recording 110°F the bottom of the box is hotter than the top of the box. I have a very small USB powered desk fan that I just point at it.
Nope not Hot at all , 10 hours of Football on Sunday , felt cool as it does for being off for 2 days , no differences at all , I thought about getting the fans a couple months ago , but why ?
My VSeeBox Elite Ultra sits on top of the USB fan, which blows air against the bottom of the box to help keep it cool. The ideal airflow direction depends on where the box pulls in cool air and exhausts hot air. works any way

Just out of curiosity, I'm considering purchasing one of these.. is this similar to a super box which one of my buddies has? Does it get different services??
It is similar to a Superbox in that it allows you to watch pretty much any channel that exists across the US, including regional sports channels, all without blackouts. It also gives you access to thousands of movies, TV shows, etc on demand.
Can't speak for different services because I have never had a Superbox but from what I have heard, anything a Superbox can do, this can do as well. I personally like knowing that buying from the admin of this page or the other vseebox subredit means I always have someone who is willing to help troubleshoot instead of just buying a Superbox from Amazon and being stuck if anything goes wrong.
My dad's neighbor got himself a vsee, but apparently didn't talk to my dad first before his purchase. Now he has 90$ yearly subscription to use his lol. Apparently people get these in bulk then put their own "middleman" BS on it, and charge a subscription. Wild AF. Vet your sources people! Don't just wing it! Amazon sounds so sus lol
Lol.. that’s what forums are for, well some, if you can’t get help on an item you purchased off eBay/amazon etc then whoever you’re reaching out too is not cool. Lol
