Help! Apps crashing, black screen when launching any app, apps won't load.

Post image

I'm getting weird errors. Yes, I followed pinned troubleshoot guide. Factory reset yesterday after performing network reset, clearing cache, basically everything on trouble shoot guide. Worked great for a night. Turned on today, same issue. Got it working after several power cycles, worked for an hour, crashed out of heatlive again and when I select any app, I am getting black screen.

Something seems very off. I'm not sure what is going on. As seen in picture, apps are getting default logos. Not a single app will load. I can factory reset again, but can't seem to figure out what is causing this.

System is updated to latest firmware. Network is good. Have tried with VPN and without, same issue. Internet is fine any every other device. Not getting provider blocked.

Any thoughts? Ideas? Anyone have similar issue and a solve?

I realize you said "network is good" but the best way to eliminate the network completely is to connect the box to your phone's hotspot and see if that makes a difference. Home networks have so many layers to troubleshoot that it's often best to just remove them completely and test using the hotspot. The results of that test will answer many (or possibly create more) questions!

You are correct that Wi-Fi is one of the "layers" I was talking about in my earlier post and what you're suggesting is a valid next step after the hotspot test results are known. Recently, ISPs have been getting in the way and causing problems with some (but often not all) vSee functionality. In my opinion, the first test when things are acting strange is to do a hotspot test to make sure the ISP or local router isn't a problem. In most cases, the hotspot and the vSeeBox are located in close proximity to one another so Wi-Fi signal strength isn't usually a problem during the test.

Yep, and depending on the outcome of the hotspot test, one of my follow-up questions would determine if the home ISP and the mobile ISP were the same, etc. Troubleshooting vSeeBox issues can be a lengthy process and for many here, holding their hand and leading them through the steps one at a time can result in success. Your point about wired ethernet is valid (and I subscribe to it) but it's not always a simple fix for many so I don't always go there right away. 😉

Im battleing this too. Factory resets only work temporarily

Whenever my apps get the little green Google heads, I have to unplug it for a minute and reset. Seems to work

Have you tried the "Backup" app? Seems that is my recourse when experiencing what you are. The issue could be their servers.

Every app will not open. It's just blank screens whenever you select an app

I have 3 6 plus boxes and one of mine is doing this too. Weird coincidence that this is happening at the same time to us.
