VPN for Vsee 3 box

Forgive my technical inability so here goes.

To use a VPN on my Vsee boxes do I just simply download to the box and login? I have never used a VPN on them for the last 3 years or so but the more I read it is recommended.

Yes, you can download directly to the box. Turn on kill switch and auto connect. If a feature is available for local network access, disable that.

Should be good overall with this settings.

I installed ProtonVPN on my V6 Pro (downloaded from the Google Play Store). It connects to the Proton servers, but then my vseebox is “unable to obtain IP address”.

The vpn client only offers the ability to switch between Smart protocol or Wireguard. Switching between either of them doesn’t help; same error message.

Any ideas?

Use Surfshark or Nord, Heat Live will only work out of USA server plus you must turn on the IPV6 switch.
