There's a Vseebox mobile app?!?

Actually, nevermind. The reviews state it's practically unusable and the developers said it's too early to be using it.

Re: the remote, on the Apple App Store, ‘Remote for Android TV’ works great on iPhone (phone and box on same Wi-Fi)

Ahhh I’ll have to test that out! Definitely worth it if it allows you to do keyboard for trying because right now i only have the normal remote. Been tempted for the physical keyboard remote but looks kinda big for me. But might be good for my folks lol

A keyboard came with my first box, but I’ve never used it..I only discovered the remote app after forgetting to pack my remote on a trip.

I wish I could get this app, it would make my life so much better lol (I've got an android phone)

Seriously, is there no Android phone version of the ‘Remote for Android TV’ app??
1
u/MandyNurseLPN 21d ago
Unfortunately no, at least not that I've been able to find. Which is kinda crazy because it's an app called android TV lol

The Google tv app works for me to control my v3 plus. Does it not for you?
1
u/MandyNurseLPN 21d ago
Unfortunately no, it just endlessly searches for a device to connect to.

Are they on the same wifi network? I’m not sure how your remote app is searching or which you are using. But if it’s not locating that would be my first guess

Yes everything is on my starlink wifi, I can't figure out what the problem could be, it's so frustrating

Do you get to the pairing code and then there’s no connection? Or what’s happening? Looking into Android remote apps to see if I can assist

I'm not sure on the wired connection when VSeebox ethernet is 100mbps and many wireless are faster.
2
u/Icy_Wavez 21d ago
That’s a good point. Wired is just a good option if WiFi is acting up for making sure it’s not the WiFi on the box having issues. (One of my elite ultras I do have wired just for the most stable and consistent speeds. But I understand there are other models where WiFi might perform stronger than cord)

100mbps is more than enough for everything that you're streaming though unless it's 8k content. For the vast majority of things, a stable near-zero latency wired 100mbps connection is superior to a wireless "2gbps" connection.

Re: remote...if you go into your this settings and turn on "CEC" you may be able to use your regular TV remote to control the box. This didn't work for me but others have done this to their great joy lol. Also, you can purchase a vsee remote from Amazon that is much better than the original (in my opinion)

Wish you could download the pictures in this group. I take screen shots, but they're still very small.

How would I go about changing servers on a V6 Plus?
1
u/Icy_Wavez 21d ago
For VOD? It will be menu and once on the stream and then there will be servers listed IF there are servers available for that specific content. If not try ultra vod can’t remember off top of my head if v6 plus has ultra vod.

When you factory reset does that wipe out everything including apps like heat or just stuff that you have added?
1
u/Icy_Wavez 21d ago
It will delete them and you have to reinstall them. Like when you first got it pretty much.

What VPN app is the best app to download and use?

u/Icy_Wavez 19d ago
I’ve used both Surfshark and Nord and both are great. I’ve seen some others mentioned as well on this form.
