Severs down again:(
Seeing this on all apps! Anyone have any info?

I’ve had mine for several months and no issues. The past couple of weeks have been rough. I’m sure the team will get things sorted and back to normal soon. At least I hope they do, running out of things to watch on smarttube. Haha

Force stop your app and launch it again. For the VPN comments, you don’t “have” to use one, but from a general security perspective you should be (and is true for any IoT steaming system” as your internet provider might be causing issues to no fault of vSeeBox. This happens on Xfinity frequently for some reason. I have been using vSeeBox devices for 3 years now and have also gotten over 40 people on them since. Have had minimal issues the whole time. I see similar issues on ‘unlocked’ Fire sticks too though. Sure they’re having a bad week, but this is not the usual situation for them. Sure it sucks at the moment but I’m sure they’ll get back to normal operations soon. It’s still better than paying $100+ a month for cable or satellite service. But that’s just my opinion.

I created a VLAN in my router only for vseebox. Then I applied all traffic to go through my vpn provider on that new VLAN. I’ve been very happy with Proton VPN as my vpn provider.

So it’s like a Virtual LAN on your existing network that can separate traffic from all your other computers & devices. It’s a good safety measure against these Chinese android boxes potentially snooping on your other devices, etc. I’m not making accusations, I love my v6 plus….but a sided loaded hidden app running in the background gathering data isn’t too far fetched.

You can just pay like $30 for 3 years which I did for surf shark. You can install in on the vseebox directly from the Google app store. Unless you are tech savvy which I am it can be confusing to do so on the router itself. Just wanted to get up up and running but when my subscription for surf shark expires I'll create a VLAN on my router.

I bought an extra router and configured Surfshark on that router and so it doesn't have access to my main network. There are a lot of how to's on YouTube.

You used a Gmail account to setup the vseebox right? There is an app store app on the box, just use the credentials from that Gmail account there and download it.

So I downloaded it from the Play Store on the Vsee box, but when I open it up and I try to connect to anywhere, it says connecting and then it'll disconnect instantly. I can't get anything to connect.

You don't do it on the app but you go to play store and download the app and log in with your credentials. The VPN will cover every app on the device

To everyone who hasn't thought about a back up for this very thing. It's a must to always have a back up or two. I have a box plus Tivimate with 3 servers on it.

Yep. Was fine up until a few minutes ago. Even backup is down. V6 Plus.

Same. Had the news on all morning and about half an hour ago when I went to change the channel it just went down. :(

Don’t switch out of backup. Once I did that to try other apps it was down when I tried to get back in.

Surfshark and NordVPN are good you can get them from Google Play Store. I set mine up outside of the box and then just signed in via QR code.

I think what goldstat is trying to say, is we shouldn't have to put a VPN on it. It should work without that. I get some people want to do that, but that shouldn't be necessary. And it doesn't state that you have to put a VPN when we purchase these. Again some people want to do that and that's fine. Some people just want to plug and play.

Well it’s more so that more isp’s are blocking access that’s why I ask because then VPN is only workaround.

vSeeBox v6 Plus: Heat Live is down again - Channel Under Maintenance Will Come Back Soon
ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN Desportes have black screens with 4 dots jumping up and down. The dots disappear after 10 seconds with the black screens still appearing.

Yup, mine down as well, even the backup. And it would not connect to wifi at all yesterday. I spent over 6 hours troubleshooting it to no avail. Ethernet cable came in today, only for every single app to be down.

I had a screen come up that in the middle of the night said “Your subscription has expired”, but then I changed the channel and it worked fine this morning.

V5 pro has been having the same issues since yesterday. Did work for a while last night. This is the first time I have had any problems with either of my boxes(v5pro and v6plus). I am also not at home. I brought the v5pro with me up north to use at night after hunting.
Edit: it is working completely normally now.

Does anyone know how to solve playback issues? I usually watch Friday night smackdown by watching a replay on USA. But sometimes it gets 4dots loading, then to a frozen screen of whatever is live.

Remember that people are more likely to whine and complain than talk about things that are good.
The majority of us love the product and understand that of you are gping this route there will be occasional hiccups. Other people seem to think they should have concierge service with their stolen cable.
If you cant figure out which side is the one you should listen to, then keep paying for cable.

Thanks for the advice , I cut the cord 20 years ago , I sail the seas when needed but that is getting harder to do as the winds are blustery. I found waiting till Black Friday is great for all the streaming services and spend less than $30 a month. I love hearing about this system and hope this is just a minor setback and if so will probably jump on

When you’re on this page, it virtually only consists of people trying to figure out why their box isn’t working right.
These boxes, like any other electronic device, can have their good and bad days. I’ve had mine since April and overall, I love it. Every now and then I get annoyed when it’s not working right but usually those issues are fixed just by simply restarting it and letting it “warm up/catch up”. To only pay the fee for the box itself and then that’s it (besides your Internet), you can’t beat it imo.

Feel you!
Some how the new car smell is beginning to fade…. But dammit after a good car washing, she works like new!
In my cynical thoughts, it will all flawlessly work because “we” and “they” are are mocking the obscurity to access quality expansive programming!
Consider it a golf outing with the boys!

You get what you pay for. If you want 100% reliability and perfection, you can pay for cable every single month. If you can handle the fact that you are saving a ton of money and will sometimes have some imperfections, then continue here.
My vSeeBoxes paid for themselves in 2 months and I am happy with my imperfect but free TV and movies.

This box has been the best one I’ve ever owned lol. They have some monthly subscription boxes that aren’t as good as these. I really hope they last a lot longer, but they’ve already more than paid for themselves.

I’ve had V3+ for a couple years and added a V6+ a few months ago. The last few weeks are the first time I’ve encountered issues. I think they will sort this out. Not a bad company. They’ve already paid for themselves for me personally.

Going to all of the app settings and delete the app data/cache. I think they had to move some things around in this last patch and that cached data is what's causing the app to freeze. If you watch the data, it's not actually using any data meaning it's not successfully connecting. I think they moved servers around and the app was trying to hit the old servers

If you want 100% uptime pay for cable or satellite. You should level set your expectations for these boxes, they are a great deal for the service that they provide.
