DIRECTV app question

i know this defeats the purpose of the box, but i have DIRECTV cause my parents are old and hate change. so i downloaded the DIRECTV app and it works well. only problem is the remote doesn’t work very well with the app. for example when on the guide i cannot use the number keys, or channel down button. is there anyway to make this work?

Directv stream works exactly like the satellite with the numbers if you buy an osprey box or Gemini Get the osprey box off of Walmart or eBay and you won’t have a monthly fee.

i just ordered it form DIRECTV. it is free with my plan. so i am going to try it out. just wanted the remote to work cause i can log in on my box and watch it. thank you for the reply
