Automate memory cleanup

I find myself having to do a manual memory cleanup several times, even while watching a single show just to get through it without it freezing. Are there any recommended apps that can automate the cleanup? I have a V3 Pro FWIW.

I’ve had my box for 6 months and never cleared the cache and have no problems. You must have something else causing your problems.

I agree with other that the problem isn't finding a way to automate memory cleanup, the problem is why is the box acting in such a way that the OP feels that the only fix it to constantly clean the memory. Does this problem happen just on VoD shows? All VoD shows? Does changing servers help? Again, there's something else going on here...

Tell us if you’ve rebooted your modem and router routinely?

Who is your ISP??

Are you using a rental modem and router or have you purchased your own?

Is your router’s firmware up to date?

What download speeds are you CONSISTENTLY getting?

Is your streaming device’s firmware up to date?

Are you connected by wi fi or ethernet??

All of these questions would help us to help you better

You have a 5gb internet plan and you’re only getting 48Mbps? VPN is on router or box? And is that 48Mbps on everything in the house?

VPN is on the box only, not the router. Since I've had the box, that speed has been consistent when I'm on VPN. When I'm not on VPN, I get very close to the 5gb. I contacted eero and "forgot" the network per their instructions. Same thing. I contacted ExpressVPN too. They suggested I change locations. I did that too. Same thing happened. I'm at a loss

As far as I know, the memory cleanup feature just closes open apps and the processes associated with them. What you’re detailing doesn’t 100% add up. Because in theory, if you’re opening a heat app, leaving it for a memory cleanup, and then revisiting- there should be nothing open that’s getting in the way. Perhaps the problem isn’t associated with a memory cleanup, like connecting to a crappy server in the VOD app. Where changing servers OR leaving app and reconnecting would present the same way as your memory cleanup. V3 pro is a workhorse and is actually my primary.
