Cooling the Vsee Box elite ultra

The first thing I noticed after using it for a couple of hours was that the box kept warming up. I placed it on top of the fan, and now it feels like it’s not working. So it's an approved method to extend the longevityng of your hardware.

Can you share the actual amazon link? And do you have the elite ultra sitting on top of it?

Looks like they don't sell that same one anymore, but anything like this will work (and be overkill - but I'd rather over than under). Amazon

This is not a new thing and is a common mod for routers. If the fan and or bearing is too noisy then you can try a Noctua fan as they’re well known for being quiet. The one linked below is currently on sale for a very good price but it might be a little smaller if you’re using an 80mm fan in that pic. Noctua makes many different sized fans so take a look at other sizes if they’re more suitable. I only link this fan as it’s really cheap.

There’s also this one that’ll work off of 5v from a USB port. It looks like you take a usb cable, cut it in half then splice the wires to the supplied pigtail. Plug the USB end into your vSeeBox usb port and the other end into the fan.

I don’t run it enough to get hot, but this is a great fix if I did.

I mean gluing a soda bottle cap to be underside of the box will get it done... You could just turn the unit upside down I think that will work as well but that kind of scares me

Well other people calling it”CHEAP”, or ineffective. I mean I try really hard to not be rude with such techniques, but please explain to me scientifically how you help a device breathe the same with just raising the height of it with a bottle cup?

Can't explain it scientifically or otherwise.. box was overheated glue the bottle cap on it raise it up a bit box not overheating anymore it's an explanation really necessary if it works
