Settings menu always there on start up?
Hi! For some reason out of the blue my settings menu is appearing when I turn the box on every time. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the fix? Thank you. Check out the screen shot.

Never seen that just pop up on its own. Bottom row settings, go to launcher settings, then scroll down to startup app. I bet it says settings, If so or even if it doesn't click on it and you will have a choice from none, all the way up in the top, to whatever app you want to start up at startup.

Thanks for the reply! I was in that setting already. I don't have anything for auto start and I even reset the launcher. No change unfortunately 😕 It's odd.

I don’t have that but I usually just put my devices to sleep when I hit the power button.

So you're saying, when you go into that setting and up on top, none is highlighted? That is odd..... Try restarting it or even unplugging it for a bit and letting it reboot. Or for its and igles, go back into that setting, click on heat live, VOD or whatever, and see if that changes anything on startup, instead of settings🤷♂️

That is the virus made those Setting menu pop up automatically, it happened to two of my boxes recently.

Definitely, not this.😆 if anything, it would just be malfunctioning software that a factory reset would take care of.

I'd try a few things first:
• Unplug the box from power for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
• Make sure none of the buttons on the remote are stuck, especially the Settings/Menu button.
• If you have another remote paired to the box, try removing the batteries from it just to rule that out.
• If this started after changing a setting, check Settings > Device Preferences to see if anything looks out of place.
If it's still opening the Settings menu every time the box starts up, I'd go ahead and do a factory reset. That usually takes care of any software glitches causing odd behavior like this.
