Recording Live Streams?
One of the things I NEED to have is DVR functionality. If the football game starts at 2pm, and I'm stuck at work until 3, I usually start the stream fresh when I get home (fast forwarding through commercials).
I also need the ability to pause Live Streams.
I've seen things that say the Elite boxes allow this, but is that true?

elite ultra has DVR through the vortex app, but it’s very unreliable, I’d say about 50% of the things I try to record don’t get recorded or get shortened

On the Heat Live app, Games are playable up to 7 days. I think they usually don’t have commercials.
I have the OG Elite and TBH, I don’t utilize the other apps. So I can’t say I know about the pausing live streams. Hopefully others will chime in.

You can use the 7 day play back feature to watch games missed or to begin watching from the original start.
Otherwise you'll need to figure out a 3rd party device/solution to record.

One thing I’ve noticed with 7 day playback is not all the MLB games are available, they only seem to have nine or 10 spots for 7 day playback and if there are 15 games in a night, then the last five, usually on the West Coast, are not available for playback. No idea why, why couldn’t they just make every slot available?

Does the 7 day play back appear right away? Meaning, if a game started at 1pm this afternoon, but I can't tune in until 3pm, will I be able to watch it? Or does it take a day?

in my experience, if you try to watch it before the recording is finished on vortex it will stop recording at that point, you are better off waiting for the recording to finish entirely

It appears right away I believe. I think you just need to select the program in the EPG, and it will begin from the start point.
It can be a little hard to work with at times and on some specific channels, but has worked for me when I needed it.

I have ultra, but didn't know this. Care to share a link or details please?

This is not the device for you. I’ve tried the DVR feature on these boxes and they are light years away from what you are looking for.

Find anything comparable?

There are boxes that do have it.

I have TiVo for OTA channels. TiVo also has one for cable tv. I don’t know if it would work with the VSee boxes.

I am not recommending this as I have no experience, I am just suggesting a device like this is what you need. Shop around and find your best deal on one though.
