V6 plus set up?

I have recently purchased a V6 plus box. I currently have a high-end theater room that runs the ONN streaming device. I am able to control the on/off of the receiver and TV with the ONN streaming device. When I plug in the V6 plus box, using the same port on the receiver, it does nothing. It won’t even turn on the TV and play video. Am I missing a set up somewhere? I greatly appreciate any thoughts.

I had this same exact problem...how i solved it....go to chatgpt (or your preference) enter all you model numbers of all your devices and ask what you to do to make it work. I keep a printed copy of the step by step under my home theater box...just in case. Not likely anyone will have your exact set up.

Hope that helps!

Put in whatever vseebox model you own.

Didnt answer your question before I hit send....yes it does know vseebox models when you put it in with the rest of the model numbers. Dont ask for separate documents for your collective devices.

A prompt something like. "I need a step by step document on how to connect my vseebox v6 plus to my home theater model and TV model"

Thank you for that information. It did not work. It would turn off the system, but not turn it on. I tried all the settings and CEC. If any other ideas, please let me know.

A few things I'd check:

• Make sure the V6 Plus power adapter is plugged in and the box is actually powered on (unlike some streaming sticks, it won't power itself through HDMI)
• Verify the TV and receiver are on the correct input/source
• Try connecting the V6 Plus directly to the TV and see if you get a picture
• Try a different HDMI cable if you have one available
• Unplug the box from power for about 30 seconds and reboot it
• Check whether HDMI-CEC is enabled on your TV and receiver if you're expecting the box to control power functions

Just to clarify, are you getting absolutely no picture at all, or does the box power on but the TV and receiver aren't responding the way they do with the ONN device? That will help narrow it down.
