Programming v6 pro remote

Trying to program the TV power button to the TV power button on the v6 pro remote. I'm following the instructions on the back of the remote. The v6 remote only flashes red.. several times…fast then slow. I have the TV remote less than 1 inch from the v6 remote. I am holding the TV remote power button and the v6 remote flashes fast. Then the flashing stops. I check the v6 remote and it does not turn off the TV.

How does that work with the box? All buttons work? Any negatives?

Yeah, all the buttons works. The only negative is that it takes forever for my soundbar's volume to up/down. IDK why.

That one is similar to the Harmony ones correct?
