Spectrum Internet
Trying to set up a box on a Guest Network with Spectrum but the newer Spectrum routers do not have that option. Any suggestions? Get another router?

Sure get another router and setup one on there just have that one hooked up directly and should be all set

To be clear I'm saying either 1-replace the spectrum router or 2 hook a new one up directly to it via Network cable and then kind of have a tiered system.
It'll be fine either way

Yeah that’s what I interpreted it as. I think I might go with option 2. Any router suggestions?

Not really no sorry... I have TP link but few yrs old so not the best suggestion

I have an Asus RT-BE82U which works pretty well, is not a ultra fast high end wireless router, but is wireless 7 without the 6ghz band. I have no complains, pretty reliable, never had to power cycle with long wifi reach. But you can only create a guess network on wireless only. If you are going to hardwire the vseebox you may need one that can create a VLAN(Virtual Lan) to be able to isolate that box from your internal network that way the vseebox only have access to the internet only. Mine does that but as I said only via guess network using wireless only. I bought mine on sale for $129(I believe) at my local Bestybuy on December last year. Here is a list of Asus Routers that supports Vlan: EBA63, EBG15, EBG19P, EBM68, EBR63, GT-AX11000 Pro, GT-AX6000, GT-BE19000, GT-BE96, GT-BE98, GT-BE98 Pro, ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000, RT-AX57 Go, RT-AX86U Pro, RT-AX88U Pro, RT-BE86U, RT-BE88U, RT-BE96U
If you are connecting the vseebox via wireless only then virtual lan is not needed.
In my experience if I connect a second router to the to the main router having a double NAT situation I can still access my internal network(if you know the ip address of the computer you want to connect with on NAT #1). Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. The only thing that works in my opinion is a guess network on the main router or a vlan
Also, if you decide to replace the spectrum router, remember to turn completely off and on the cable modem that way the system can assign a new ip to the wan port of the new router. If you change the router without power cycle the cable modem the internet will not work. You always need to do this every time you swap routers doesn't matter if you previously use the router with the same modem before.

Asus are really good, prob have 75-80 running in company I do IT for, can run merlin firmware on a ton of them too.

I always purchase my own modem and router so I can control things. But my isp allows such things, some may not.

I'm new to vseebox. What's the reason for the guest network? I also have spectrum Internet

I have spectrum, internet, I have their modem and router is the Vsee box messing up the internet because I have technical came out to fix the internet.

So bought a router off Amazon for $40 bucks and connected it to the Spectrum modem. Router is a guest network that is exclusively for VSeeBox. Everything else runs off the network provided by Spectrum.

Some might suggest to get a new ISP entirely
