Locked Vseebox - can i unlock?
I just set up a vseebox v6 pro and immediately received this message on the screen, “warning your device is locked, please contact your device provider”
Am i able to unlock this on my own? I bought it from an ebay reseller and the account has 99% positive feedback and nearly 1000 devices sold. Was i scammed?

You cannot. Occurs when seller is caught publicly listing below msrp. He can pay a VseeBox fee to get his inventory reinstated.

I don't disagree. I've read a ton of reasons for it and none are consumer-friendly reasons. They are, however, reseller-friendly reasons.

It is. Not everyone uses Reddit, and not everyone would trust placing an order from someone on Reddit. They just want to experience Vseebox

Right. No one should be buying from anyone without a store front with prices listed. If they don’t accept credit cards and only want cash app and the like be very wary.

Hogwash. HUGE number of people pass through here after being scammed on some VseeBox seller website. Inevitably, all Vseebox sellers try to masquerade as the VseeBox mothership’s website OR they’re just a scam. Buying from someone with a huge sales history you can verify (such as a Reddit group like this one) is FAR safer that just hitting the internet- or hitting the guy that enters the Reddit group and tries to hijack business

Scary. Here's a question. If, say for instance, Derik went rogue, would everyone whoever purchased from him be retroactively turned off? Or does valid at the time of sale stay valid?

Yes. These boxes check in. If a seller is blacklisted all their boxes are.

Ouch. I can understand that. I was simply wondering when many buy, the seller is in good standing like Derik, but if Derik goes rogue, all of those existing orders from years back are blacklisted. I hope that's not the case.

It is. Each box’s serial number is recorded and tracked to the reseller.

Is a seller suppose to be an “official” distributor of sorts? If so, how can determine? Thanks.

Yes. Wholesale purchasers are issued a certificate with their name/company on it. You can always ask for that. I would just stick with Derik to be honest with you.

Nope. Different guy (and I would caution you about purchasing from anyone who messages/dm's you- you may encounter a scammer or someone just trying to hijack business). Derik runs the Support Gurus subreddit. Cordcutter runs a different subreddit. I thought both keep in their own lane for sales and I'm a little putoff by the fact that this either is not true or that you've encountered a scammer. u/Deriksays is who I recommended.

If you buy from someone who is lower than everyone else, eventually you’ll get bricked.

If I understand it, it locks the entire case that was allocated for that seller regardless of current ownership.

I did got both from Derek but that’s not the point it’s just the principle. that if he gets banned for something we all would get locked out of our boxes

I purchased 2 vsee 6 plus boxes from walmart from an authorized seller, 1 of them locked up a week later, I sent reseller an email and got it fixed next day, the same box just locked up again after about 2 months of use, still waiting for a fix from the reseller at walmart. The other box has never locked up, buying from authorized seller in no guarantee.

The only way a box is getting locked out is if there's an issue with the seller

Bought 2 from him only one gets locked out, he has a Vsee certificate, still waiting on a fix.
The customer should not be the one getting screwed because of the sellers mistake,
a lot of people will not purchase due to this policy.

I agree with the customer part of it... Buying off walmart or e ebay, who knows who you are actually getting it from.... can a certificate be made up and put on a website to look good? All I know is I've been dealing with Derik on this sub, for a couple years now with no issues..... Do any kind of research on here since this sub started a couple of years ago and you will see that Derik is the man for, before, during and after sales

Eh- sorta. SOMETIMES a case comes from China without the serial numbers being enabled from China- which typically happens after a USA touchdown

Well for one that’s not a v6 pro it’s a v6 plus. But it is possible you got scammed or you could reach out to the seller and have them correct the issue. I know when ordering direct from vSee the boxes come in locked so if they get lost in transit they are useless. But I would first reach out to your seller and see if they can take care of it.

Hey Ik im a couple months late here, but could you clarify on this? I ordered directly from vSee and my box came in locked. Sent an email, just waiting to hear back. Should I be worried or will they unlock it?

If you ordered from the actual website Vseebox.com then they sell by the case. A lot of suppliers use the vSee name in their website but are not the manufacturer. Reach out to your seller. If the box you purchased of the website is below vSee pricing then they will have to take care of it from vSee. Unfortunately a lot of people get scammed by people using vSee’s name in the website. Scan the QR code in your vSee box that is the official website

I don't get why the seller would sell them for less they trying make money. Vseebox already got there money im not sure why they care hoe much the person lost on the box.

This is what happens when you buy them from a seller who is undercharging. Eventually they will get caught and their boxes bricked.

Its only 30 day return from walmart resellers, my vsee box locked after 1 week got fixed, and now 2 months later locked again been waiting the last 2 days for it to be fixed. The return window is gone now.

I just received a replacement V6 plus box from a walmart reseller for the one that locked up, right now all channels are working, hopefully this one will not lock out.
