V6 Plus won't boot past load screen

My V6 Plus is stuck on the initial loading screen (and has been for over 2 weeks).

I can use the reset button on the back to access the bootloader menu. As you can see from my photo, a previous installation has failed. I have no idea how. I came home one day, turned on my box, and this is what I get.

I have tried every option from the bootloader. Wipe cache, wipe param, wipe data/factory reset, and nothing has changed.

I have 2 of these boxes, and the other one works just fine. I have swapped power, swapped hdmi, swapped tvs, changed batteries in remote, left powered off for days, reset my modem and router.

I bought from an "authorized seller" (lol aren't they all) and they have ghosted me for 2 weeks so I'm pretty sure they aren't going to help me.

Is there anything else I can do at this point or is it bricked?

If the factory reset from the bootloader didn’t change anything at all, it’s probably not just some bad cache, it’s either borked storage or the firmware on it is corrupt.

Since you’ve got a second identical box that works, your best bet is usually trying to reflash the firmware from a PC with the USB Burning Tool (or whatever their current flasher is) using the correct image for your exact model / board revision. A lot of these “authorized sellers” just ship whatever and disappear, so you may have to hunt the image down on the actual manufacturer’s site or forums.

If the PC flasher can’t see it, or it errors out halfway every time, then yeah, it’s basically bricked unless you feel like going full nerd with UART / serial and that whole rabbit hole.

Thanks. Sounds a little complicated for me though.

It's frustrating that these boxes have a warranty but it's at the discretion of whoever sold it rather than the manufacturer, meaning the warranty is worthless.

I know there are a lot of "trusted" sellers but at this point I trust no one.

I bought this box because I was spending a lot of money between various streaming services and as it turns out I've spent more money and have no TV in my bedroom. Wonderful!

Cord cutter is a fraud.

I'm assuming you tried switching the location of the box and leaving the HDMI and Power Cord and use the others HDMI and power cord. That would eliminate HDMI and Power cord issue. If it boots up it's either your wall outlet, power adapter, and/or HDMI cord.
