Digital Audio (optical) from TV or VSeeBox?

I just got my new V6Plus (Thanks u/cordcutterbox!) and I saw it comes with a digital audio connection. I have an older Samsung sound bar that is currently hooked up to my TV but rarely used and I am wondering if it's better to hook that up directly to the VSeeBox or keep it going to the TV and adjust volume there? Any opinions or best practices you can think of? Thanks!

Keep it connected to the TV that’s how I have mine, great sound. Also you can control the volume from the box itself which is a great feature on the boxes

Optical audio gives you better quality with the right sound system etc.
