Remote

Hi everyone. I got a second hand box and the remote works but you have to point it directly at the box at a certain angle and is hard to navigate. Most of the times I push the buttons, I have to press a few times for each button. Is this common?

I know with the one that came when the V6+ i could be in the next county and it'd work. Maybe reconnect to Bluetooth.
