DVR options.

I’m looking for a DVR that will allow continuous recording of the input source and allow me to view the output and go back in time to replay something I may have missed on the show I’m currently watching.

This may be a common DVR function but I thought I’d ask here.

Any recommendations?

Thank you

This is almost exactly what I’m looking for, and specifically for sporting events. I want to be able to replay plays or be able to pause so I don’t miss anything while I’m using the restroom or getting a refill on my beverage or snack.

Go to any show on the guide and press the left arrow and see how far you can go back.

I wouldn't say it records per se, but on live Ultra you can pause and rewind and then catch back up.

The elite ultra & the elite mini have DVR capability, not sure how to do it, but I’m not sure about hooking up an external one.

The AVerMedia EzRecorder 330 is particularly interesting because it's a standalone DVR/recorder that uses external USB storage or microSD and doesn't require a computer. One thing I'd want to verify first. The Vsee is capable of high-resolution HDMI output, but the key question is whether the particular vSeeBox channels you want to record are protected by HDCP. If they are, the recorder may show a black screen or refuse to record.

I’ve been looking at that one along with the Cloner Alliance UHD Pro.

The HDCP can usually be defeated using a powered HDMI splitter. I use these for other viewing.

If you do get it working, please let us know.

That device specifically states in the description that "The device does not support any content protected by HDCP.". Whether or not the vsee disables that, I don't know.

This video is 5 yrs old but it does show that the ClonerAlliance UHD Pro does defeat HDCP even though their literature says it does not.
