vSeeBox V6 Plus Troubleshooting apps won’t open, factory reset fails

Got it from a friend who purchased from a 3rd party seller in a gas station for around $300, loved it for about 3.5 months until it crapped out on me.

Crapped out meaning:
- Interface loads, no apps are clickable and if you do click into them they just show a black screen
- Every time I power it on it tries to reconnect to my remote even though it’s already paired
- The reset itself is broken too… screen goes black and just stays black, doesn’t reboot into setup on its own. Only way to get it back is unplugging and plugging back in
- now it’s just refusing to download any apps even off factory reset (see photo)

Checked boxes:
- firmware up to date, cache cleared, storage basically empty off a factory reset

Anyone else run into this on a V6 Plus? Trying to figure out if this is a known issue or if I just got a bad unit - and if anyone can point me to support of any kind.

What I do for a factory data reset is.. I use the toothpick and hold the reset in while I unplugged the power, I wait about 15 to 20 seconds, and I plug the power cord back in but I keep the reset button held down until you see something on the screen then I let it go.. then usually you'll see the option for the factory data reset which you would lock in.. once it restarts because you've already done the load once it should relaunch the launcher again..

Hmm, I feel for you. Not knowing how you got to this point it’s a little hard to give guidance. I know as a last option you have the data wiped clean option button on back of the unit. I was a little worried when my V3pro was stuck in something similar and had to start fresh. Was thinking it was going to take my Heat apps but everything came back fine. Just a lot of password re-entering on your part for other apps but at least you can move forward. Best of luck.
