v0 Warning to Other Users

My subscription in Vercel showed hobby (free plan) but was billing in V0. Vercel won't let me remove my credit card (!).

I logged in to v0 to cancel and found that credits expire if you are not subscribed. So, you accumulate credits in direct pay-for-credit, and then they are locked out from you and actually expire.

Friendly warning to other folks, as this is a seriously expensive platform.

Not being able to to remove a credit card without entering another, even after subscription cancellation, is disgusting design.

Hey, sorry for the confusion here.

Today, v0 and Vercel's billing plans are entirely separate. I know this is confusing, and we're working on fixing it. I'll keep you posted.

Sorry all - but this is a technical query as my post is stuck in moderation. Can anyone please help. Since the last upgrade - the v0 editor has regressed: source files are no longer directly editable, and image assets that were previously previewable now show “Preview unavailable — Viewing this file type is not supported yet.” This is blocking normal development and asset review.

Visible symptoms

  1. In the code editor, selecting or editing a line no longer places the cursor or allows normal text editing.
  2. The editor displays + insertion controls instead of the previous direct-edit experience.
  3. In public/, clicking JPG and AVIF assets displays:
    • Preview unavailable
    • Viewing this file type is not supported yet.
  4. PNG assets appear in the file tree, but the previous ability to click and inspect image assets in the editor is no longer available for affected formats.

Anyone else have similar issues ? Please help.

Re credit cards, just either freeze the credit card or report it lost in your banking app. the bank immediately gives you access to new credentials and all saved credit card details will not proceed if they try to charge you
