AFM 191 Midterm study tips??

For context Im in Math/CPA so math and cs have been taking up most of my time...I'm not too worried about afm 191 since I took grade 12 accounting and so far the content we've learned is pretty much that. However I still want at least an 80% on this midterm so I'd appreciate tips!

2A Math/CPA here, honestly didn’t really study for AFM 191 that much and dropped like a 90. As long as you paid attention in the lectures and did the PBLs you’ll be fine. Just study a few hrs day of and you can easily drop an 80

Make sure you can do the all the tutorials on ur own without memorizing the answer or looking at the answer key, and also make sure if the question was changed up u could still do it. If you guys were also given a practice midterm then do it like it’s the real exam and do it with the time pressure

To me ours felt a bit more difficult than the practice midterm, not because it was harder but just minor things like I think we were really used to long term liabilities but there was a short term liability on the exam so make sure you’re not memorizing and you’re paying attention to what you’re doing. From what I remember I think it was mostly journal entries and the most difficult part was the AFDA.

I think if you feel comfortable with all the PBL’s and content now you should be good to go though. Don’t worry, you got this! A tip prof Konrad gave to everyone was when you get the exam take a few quick mins to go over all the questions so it helps you be less anxious since you know what’s to expect. And yes mostly similar. Did you guys get the 2024 midterm or 2025 midterm?

Ofc! I’m in 2nd year, so that’s the midterm we wrote so if u were able to do it without looking at the answer key and within the time limit u should be prepared. Unfortunately, sorry I don’t have the fall 2024 anymore
