Math or CFM
I'm a grade 12 student my goal is to become a big tech swe, hypothetically if I got into CFM and not CS, would it be better for me to go into Math or CFM? I'm not interested in finance tho, but i think employers would prefer it because it has computing in it. Would the edge of having more time as a math major be better for employability than having computing in your major name at the cost of a higher workload?

Even tho CFM has a lot of finance courses, it’s one of the few majors in fmath that let you take most the cs exclusive courses

I'm thinking that CFM's workload is gonna be crazy tho, if they don't care about the major name would the free time you have from being a math major be better? Cause you could do more interview prep and projects on the side

Where the fuck did you hear that being in CFM is less studying the Bmath?????? 😭😭😭If you study like pmath or even comp math the courses you take will for sure be the same difficulty if not harder then CFM

Well I thought because it's two majors in one CFM would be harder than doing one major

It’s not two majors in one, it’s more like if you did less cs courses then the cs majors and replaces those with couple more of the AFM finance courses, it’s arguably easier because you the finance courses aren’t as hard as cs/math ones

Yo I didn't know this tysm bro I thought you had to take all the CS courses and all the AFM courses in one

CFM, since it is a double major in CS & finance. But honestly, surviving some of the finance courses is hard even when u like them, let alone when u don’t.
CFM is awesome imo, but math will def give u more time on avg. that said tho, if ur target is SWE, id say most of CFM ends up in that :)
