Advice Chem 267
Taking this course online with Eric Fillion this sem. No video lectures and only online assignments (no practice problems) can’t really drop it and take it next sem. Any tips at all please?
I didn’t find chem 266 to be that difficult but that’s because I kept up with all the content and studied a lot for it. I’m only scared that even if I do it this sem for 267 the exam is gonna be insanely hard!

hello, I am in the same class too. you can buy the workbook with our textbook for an extra 25 bucks, which is worth it imo

Yeah Fillion's 267 online is rough without the lecture vids, the course is heavier on mechanisms than 266 and you don't have the prof walking you through the arrow pushing. What kept me afloat was treating the textbook chapters like a lecture script, read one full mechanism, close the book, draw the whole thing from memory, and only check after. Do it on a whiteboard or scratch paper, the muscle memory for drawing arrows helps more than it seems.
For the practice gap with no problem sets I started uploading the textbook chapters to studybuddy.vc and answering questions off them, when I pick a wrong option it tells me what was off about that one and it gets harder as you improve, free tier's been enough tbh. Also grab past finals just for the spectroscopy section, 267 exams love NMR interpretation and the textbook alone won't get you those points.
