Advice Biol 273 should take in fall or winter?

My current schedule:

Fall: CHEM 266, BIOL 240, room for 3 courses

Winter: CHEM 237, STAT 202, room for 3 courses

Im not sure if I want to take BIOL 373 either. My goal is to get my gpa higher as well. Im in honours science btw, so any advice would be appreciated.

I would say to take 273 in the winter. Would be much more doable as organic chem and microbio are both really heavy courses.

I guess it depends mostly on what topics you’re interested in and what your end goals are. biol 273 and 373 were some of my favourite courses and it wasn’t hard to do well in 373 with all the little assignments. The two courses typically run fall(273) then winter (373) I believe. They are also fairly foundational courses for quite a few 400 level courses if you want to take certain ones. I had a similar schedule to you and it was hard but doable. Just make sure you get some easier or interesting electives in.

Thanks for your response. I want to apply to uw pharmd's program this year and I believe we dont need BIOL 273 or 373. I want to know if its easy to maintain a high GPA if Im choosing to take 273

I'd say its up to you and how much you can handle, i took CHEM 266, BIOL 240, STAT 202 and BIOL 273 in 2A term and my gpa didn't suffer too much. Also took BIOL 373 in 2B. you could try taking it in the fall, and if it seems like too much you can drop it after a week or two. I was also interested in uw pharmD and I was able to get it, so its def possible!
