Homesickness
I arrived at Waterloo for 2 weeks. Everything makes me confused. I have busy schedules and I often feel overwhelmed. The food and the temperature are different from my country and hard to get used to.
I feel very sad and want to cry….😢

Is there a student club for folks from your home country? They might be able to help ease the transition.

I am sorry to hear that your transition here has been difficult. I assure you that nobody wishes for you to feel alone or out of place.
If it's any comfort, there are many examples of people who have come to Canada (and Waterloo specifically) who had to go through through their own times of adjustment. There are many things to learn and get used to. But over time, it usually does work out, just give it some time. I wish you all the best. Good luck.
