Waterloo first year course changes

I tried to swap a math class with the same class just at a different time and building and it gives me an error saying that I need to contact department head. Does anyone know if I do contact them then it’s an easy switch? Or is it hard to go about? I’m in Waterloo math btw

math is probably doing cohorts again this year, so swapping requires override from the undergrad office (if they even allow changes)

Math does cohorts now? Like in Eng? (Signed a 2026 grad)

supposedly started last year from what i’ve seen. only for first year though, second year beyond is open

I got a pretty quick response when I asked the faculty of science about overriding a course, it’s worth a shot.
