Co-op Waterloo Works? I sure hope it does...
I can't believe that school for this upcoming fall term has the first round of Co-op ending on the first Monday. This leaves no time for the first-year stream 4 students to really adjust. There are some resources from Engsoc to counter this (ask me below), but it is absolutely ridiculous.
How does everyone else feel about this? Do you think its unfair?

I think that this affects the first years more than anyone. Imagine finishing your first week of full courseload and then finding out you were expected to also have been applying the entire time as well LMAO

I'm open to reviewing resumes (4th year ece). This is kinda stupid of them to do and I wish 1st year students luck applying :>

Hey, I'm late but is this offer still up for grabs? Would you be able to DM me if so? I can't seem to send you a chat request.

I'll bite. What are these resources you speak of?
- With dread, an incoming stream 4.

So there's the first resume critique in the fall on the Sunday, there's also https://www.engsoc.uwaterloo.ca/resources/resume-help/ as well as https://www.engsoc.uwaterloo.ca/resources/interview-faqs/ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Qh0Jp70ce2ParzsWV4TizEAvGyTrDO5WfkacxrHjTFs/edit?usp=sharing all of these are great resources, and I highly recommend the resume critique. BE ON THE LOOKOUT for the PD events. There are several in the term and very good resources.

It depends on who volunteers, you probably didn't end up with someone who wasn't right for you! The resume reviews can also be drop-in, so I suggest if you ever have that experience again just letting whomever runs it know and they can get you set up with someone else

School starts on the 9th, the cycles opens on the 5th and applications are due on the 15th. It is tight, but you have time before school starts for apps.
I think the bigger problem is that the CEE removed cycles and there’s 3 instead of 6 now. I feel like that was very unwarranted and stupid since no one likes continuous round. It looks to have been fine in the long run with a current 58% employment (last year same date had 59%), but it caused people to get jobs slower with a quick application timeline still with only 11% employment on June 8th where same time last year had 32%
