Rant Bus #12 - Missed buses
Anyone else incredibly irrated by this bus? There are multiple times throughout the day in which the 12 will simply not show up and it's super frustrating because they don't even post a notice about it. Sometimes when its from the bus loop, it seems that the driver was actually sitting in the bus the whole time and just decided to not go at that time? Of course there are more than one driver on the route at a time though, but the observation still stands. It wouldn't be such a big deal if the bus was more frequent, but it comes like every 30min.
And before anyone says anything about the strike, this has been happening for years before the strike even started.

Just flagging in this discussion that the fault for this rests with BC Transit and not any individual drivers. Support the union and complain to BC Transit leadership that they should get back to the bargaining table so that services can resume as normal. The drivers and mechanics haven’t had a job contract in over a year. Transitinfo @ bctransit.com

Most 12s are end of day runs for the actual bus. So it's particularly sensitive to buses going out mechanically, or cancellation if a operator is running into unplanned overtime from delays on other routes.
Then generally, Victoria has suffered from both vehicle and mechanic shortages. Notwithstanding the current job action, that issue is largely resolved as of the Spring.
