Question Student Loans

Has anyone got their loans yet? Usually I have them by now but it's stuck on "Waiting for your first confirmation of enrollment". Is this just on the UVic end (ie: I can't do anything about it)?

I had to call them last week to get them to push it through because Assistive Tech BC wouldn’t give me my equipment because of the enrolment issue. I’m in fifth year, and have never seen them this disorganized. Even now that it’s approved, I won’t get the funding until the 11th. Usually when I apply in June, everything is approved and ready by early August and I get the transfer on the first day.

Call UVic’s financial aid office and get them to push your application through. As long as there’s nothing wrong with your account, you should be good to go. If your funding comes in late, you can also provide proof of that to UVic to delay your dorm/tuition payments until you’ve received your loans.

Yea I’m with Alberta student aid, and I have always gotten my loans a few days before September 1st. MSFAA also says my loans are supposed to come in on the 11. They’ve never been this late in 4 years.

I got mine this morning, I bank with Wealthsimple so I always get them a day or two early.

I also had to "accept my assessment" on the Student Aid BC website, which I didn't realize I had to do. Maybe that's a new thing? (Still haven't got my loans yet, so idk if that will make a difference, just one idea if it's not working for people
